Background

Working closely with Samsung, we needed to develop a promo­tional campaign for the Galaxy Ace mobile phone that would spark interest and drive sales of the handset. The campaign needed to especially resonate with the Phones4U target market, and have signi­ficant stand out among other attractive
competitor offers.

Idea

We came up with the idea of offering a high-​​value incentive to take advantage of the hype around the release of The Inbetweeners movie. An exclusive partnership deal was negotiated to offer Phones4U customers The Inbetweeners series 1-​​3 free with the Samsung Galaxy Ace handset. We also negotiated with the film’s producers to gain exclusive access to film assets and imagery to bring the offer to life.

The campaign appeared on the front cover of Metro and Daily Mirror, as well as on posters nationwide. We also ran a competition on Facebook and on the Phones4U website.

Big results
